To build a platform where children from all backgrounds can discover and
connect with their family's roots, language, and heritage through engaging
stories and playful learning.
Our Story
We are Farris and Leith Darawsheh, brothers and co-founders of Little Roots Co. Our journey started, as many do, around the dinner table. As sons of a Palestinian refugee, we grew up on stories of Palestine that shaped our heritage.
When we became fathers, we wanted to pass this rich culture on. We searched for engaging, high-quality tools to help our kids connect with their roots, language, and stories... and we found a gap.​

It struck us that we couldn't be the only ones. We were sure parents from countless other cultures; diaspora families, mixed-heritage households, or anyone trying to keep a specific tradition alive; were facing the same challenge.
That’s why we built Little Roots. We decided to create the platform we wished existed.
We are launching with the culture we know best; our own; as proof of concept. But our mission is to build a home for all families, a platform dedicated to preserving the unique cultures, traditions, and languages that make us who we are, and passing them on with joy.
